Sometimes, in the quickly fading light of autumn, it’s possible to find near-perfect moments.
It takes a combination including right location, fortuitous timing, and an assault on one or more senses.
Tonight, it happened for me on my drive home. After exiting the freeway, the road dropped down below the fading sun adding a golden and brown hue to everything. A song from Candlebox was playing at a near-to-obscene volume draining away the troubles of the day.
As I turned onto another street growing closer to home, I saw a young man and woman walking hand-in-hand.
They were smiling and the glow of joy spread from them and infected the moment turning everything a bit brighter.
